What should be paid attention to when washing hotel linen with different fabrics?
1. Hemp fiber fabric
Hemp fiber is hard and has poor cohesion. It is lighter than cotton fabric when washing. Do not use hard brush and vigorous rubbing to prevent the cloth surface from fluffing. Do not twist with force after washing, do not scald colored fabrics with hot water, and should not be exposed to sunlight to avoid color fading.
2. Cotton fabric
Cotton fabric has strong alkali resistance, acid resistance, and high temperature resistance. It can be washed with various soaps or detergents. Before washing, it can be soaked in water for a few minutes, but not too long to avoid damage to the color. Close-fitting clothing should not be soaked in hot water to prevent the protein in the sweat from coagulating and adhering to the clothing, and yellow sweat spots will appear.
When washing with detergent, the best water temperature is 40~50℃. When rinsing, you can grasp the method of "small quantity and many times", that is, you don't need to use a lot of water for each clean water rinse; but you need to wash several times. Wring dry after each rinse, and then perform a second rinse to improve washing efficiency. Clothes should be dried in a cool and ventilated place to avoid exposure to sunlight and fading of colored fabrics.
3. Silk fabric
Before washing, soak in water for about 10 minutes. The soaking time should not be too long. Avoid washing with alkaline water, and use neutral soap or soap flakes or neutral detergent. The lotion should be lukewarm or room temperature. After washing, gently squeeze the water and never twist it. It should be dried in a cool and ventilated place, not exposed to the sun, let alone drying.
4. Wool fabric
Wool is not alkali-resistant, so it should be washed with neutral detergent or soap flakes. Wool fabrics will shrink and deform in an aqueous solution above 30°C, so the temperature of the washing bath should not exceed 40°C. Usually use room temperature (25℃) water to prepare detergent aqueous solution. Avoid scrubbing with a washboard when washing, even if you use a washing machine to wash, you should wash lightly, and the washing time should not be too long to prevent milling.
Do not wring after washing, squeeze it with your hands to remove the water, and then drain. Half a minute is appropriate when dehydrating with a washing machine. It should be dried in a cool and ventilated place, and not exposed to strong sunlight to prevent the fabric from losing luster and elasticity and causing a decrease in strength.
5. Viscose fabric
Viscose fiber has a large shrinkage rate and low wet strength. When washing, it should be washed and soaked, and it should not be soaked for a long time. The viscose fabric will become hard when exposed to water, so it should be washed gently to avoid fluffing or cracking. Use neutral detergent or low-alkali detergent. The temperature of the washing liquid cannot exceed 45°C. After washing, fold up the clothes, squeeze out the water a lot, and avoid twisting them. Avoid exposure to the sun after washing, and dry it in a cool or ventilated place.
6. Polyester fabric
First soak in cold water for 15 minutes, and then wash with general synthetic detergent. The temperature of the lotion should not exceed 45°C. The dirty parts of the neckline and cuffs can be scrubbed with a brush. After washing, rinse, twist lightly, dry in a cool and ventilated place, do not expose to the sun, and do not dry to avoid wrinkles due to heat.
