10 steps for hotel linen washing
1. Check the classification
First, it needs to be sorted and sorted before washing.
Classified by color: different linen treatments may cause mutual contamination, and similar linens of different colors have different treatment methods.
According to the category of linen dirt: this classification method is for the special dirt that the linen has in the process of use. Generally, special stain removers are used to treat these special dirt. If the heavy-duty linen is treated together with the same general dirt-level linen, it will only cause a lot of waste of backwashing.
Classified by linen texture: such as pure cotton bed sheets, polyester-cotton bed sheets, etc., must be treated separately, while floor towels should be specially separated and washed and dried in a separate dedicated machine.
2. Stain removal treatment
Apply some chemicals and use some correct mechanical action to remove stains that cannot be removed in conventional washing and dry cleaning.
3. Water and pre-wash
For the washing of medium and heavy dirt, the washing step is generally used. Pre-washing is a pre-decontamination process in which an appropriate amount of detergent is added. For particularly serious dirt, pre-washing is a necessary step. Pre-washing can generally be arranged after the washing step, or directly into the pre-washing process.
4. Main wash
Under the combination of appropriate lotion concentration, temperature, sufficient action time and other factors, the purpose of decontamination can be achieved.
5. Bleaching
This process is a supplementary step of the main washing decontamination, mainly to remove the pigment stains that cannot be completely removed in the main washing step.
6. Rinse
Rinsing is a diffusion process, using 30℃~50℃ water temperature and high water level to remove the remaining dirt-containing lotion components in the fabric, so as to achieve the purpose of cleaning.
7. Water and dehydration
The centrifugal force generated when the drum of the washing machine rotates at a high speed is used to minimize the moisture content of the fabric in the drum.
8. Peracid neutralization
The detergents usually used in washing are alkaline, although after many times of washing, there is no guarantee that there will be no alkaline ingredients. The presence of alkaline substances will affect the appearance and feel of the laundry to a certain extent, and even worse, it will have an adverse effect on the skin and health of the human body. These problems can be solved by the neutralization reaction of acid and alkali.
9. Soft treatment
The soft treatment can make the fabric feel comfortable, at the same time can prevent static electricity generation, and play a lubricating effect.
10. Sizing
The sizing step is mainly for tablecloths, napkins, some uniforms and other cotton products or mixed fiber fabrics in restaurants. After sizing, the surface of the sizing fabric can be stiff to prevent fluffing, and at the same time, a layer of sizing film is formed on the surface of the sizing fabric, which has a certain blocking effect on the penetration of dirt.
