How to clean the sheets and quilts more cleanly
When most people wash the sheets and quilts, they throw them into the washing machine, wash and spin dry, and then dry them for storage. In fact, this may not be able to completely eliminate the germs on the bedding, and sometimes it will bring more risk factors to health due to uncleanliness and secondary pollution. To thoroughly clean and disinfect the bedding, there are three main steps: washing, drying and ironing.
Washing: Soak for 15 minutes before washing the bedding. The water temperature should be about 30°C. The amount of water should be about 10 cm below the bedding. You can choose some detergent with sterilization function. In addition, if the dirt in the inner tank of the washing machine and the scale attached to the interlayer, free detergent, and clothes fibers are not cleaned up in time, a large number of bacteria will easily grow in the washing machine and be brought to the human body through the clothes. The survey showed that the detection rate of toxins in the inner tank of the washing machine was 60.2%, and the detection rate of coliform bacteria was 100%. Therefore, the washing machine should be cleaned thoroughly every two months: first add clean water to the high water level, then add the special detergent, let the machine run for 5 minutes to fully dissolve the detergent, turn off the power and soak for 1 hour, and then clean the body according to the daily washing mode. .
Drying: Do not place the washed sheets and quilts indoors to dry in the shade, it is best to put them in the sun to dry, and use the ultraviolet rays in the sun to inhibit the growth of bacteria. It should be reminded that it is best to change the noodles every 4 hours; it is best to turn the sheets over before drying to prevent the fading caused by direct sunlight.
Ironing: It is best to iron it with an electric iron before storage to eliminate germs that have not been removed or re-contaminated during washing and drying. The best temperature for ironing cotton sheets is 170°C, silk fabric is about 120°C, polyester fabric is about 130°C, and hemp fabric is below 100°C. The order of ironing is to iron the back side first, and then iron the front side. Don't fold it up immediately after ironing, hang it up, and put it in the cabinet after the hot damp is completely dissipated.
